Life illuminated.
Essendon’s thriving quarter.

A tale of old meets new — Luminess is a collection of 1 & 2-bedroom homes that honour Essendon’s rich heritage. Inspired by the workmanship of the suburb’s red brick buildings, the architectural design embraces a rare level of craft and timelessness.

A contemporary retelling.

A façade of glazed brick columns, a curvilinear band of brickwork and glass walls reference the adjacent church and old buildings of Russell Street. This traditional foundation contrasts with the more contemporary material palette above, creating an elegant differentiation of form. At street level, an activated retail precinct interacts with the community along Russell Street and the surrounding area, creating a vibrant new hub for Essendon.

Lightness and elegance

The Luminess interiors are designed to be liveable and adaptable; large open floorplans allow residents to shape their spaces in response to ever-evolving lifestyles. The higher-level balconies offer impressive views across Melbourne, while the lower level terraces overlook the bustling streetscape — the perfect backdrop for entertaining guests on a warm evening.
